I have created this portfolio to share with the promotion committee, the dean, and the provost those parts of my work and activities that reflect best who I am and what I enjoy doing as faculty in the program of Second Language Teaching and Learning (SLTL).

In this portfolio, I address the nine professional areas laid out by the promotion committee. They are closely linked to Boyer's four scholarships of discovery, integration, application, and teaching.

Highlights in each professional area include:

• links to my fully online courses, found in the "Teaching" section located in the navigation bar of this e-Folio, as well as course evaluations

• a capstone title page from my first M.A. in ESL advisees as an expert reader which I have included in the "Advising" portfolio section

• evidence demonstrating development of the online course program in the Graduate School is presented under "Program Development"

• information about my efforts to build up the scope, personnel, and budget for a virtual campus shared in the "Service within Hamline" section

• testimonials on sharing my linguistic and bilingual expertise with colleagues at local academic institutions are in "Service outside Hamline"

• sources documenting mentoring relationships with colleagues, teaching assistants, and a doctoral UMN student can be found in the section “Faculty Development”

• documentation on the work with program assistants to make online courses run smoothly is available in the “Administrative Duties” section
